Waste pick-up trucks include the garbage truck, recycle truck and the yard waste truck. They usually go to the same neighborhoods on the same days. They do not normally run on Saturday or Sunday. If a waste pick-up holiday falls between Monday and Friday, then the normal collection routes on and after the holiday are delayed one day for that week. Therefore, the waste pick-up trucks run on Saturday to complete their normal Friday routes. These are the waste pick-up holidays.

If one of these holidays falls on a Monday, the all of the waste pick-up routes are delayed one day later than normal. If one of these holidays falls on a Tuesday, then all of the collection routes between Tuesday and Friday are delayed one day.
