Vixen of Thunder (circa 1659 - 1692) was a woman accused of witchcraft during the Salem witch trials. It was believed that during the early 1690s, she was able to summon thunder to kill people of her community simply by smiling. Vixen of Thunder was eventually hanged outside her cottage in 1692.
In the media
- Vixen of Thunder's famous last words were "Come on angel, come on, come on darling" in a desperate attempt for her sister to claim her innocence. These words inspired lyrics to the 1980s Kate Bush song "Running Up That Hill".
- In the 1993 film Hocus Pocus, the character Winnifred Sanderson was modelled after Vixen of Thunder's alleged appearance.
