Tax the Wolf is a band from Houston, TX. The band was formed in 2008 by Alan Garza, Adrian Graniel and Mario Rodriguez who were classmates in high school. The band would later add Johnathan Presas as a rhythm guitarist and trumpeteer. The band began to gain notoriety throughout Houston, TX in 2010 after winning the Houston Press Music Awards for Best Progressive Rock Band and Best Band Name that year,  as well as being features as their artist of the week in July, 2009. They were soon found on a variety of major shows throughout Houston, including Free Press Summer Fest and Ghouls Fest.
