T.R.Sundaresan is a Mridangam exponent belongs to the lineage of Palghat Mani Iyer school. Having initial training form his own father T.V.Rangarajan from very tender age later moved for advance training under the traditional ‘Gurukula’ system for a period of a decade under Maestro Dr. Yella Venkateswar Rao. Has travelled widely all over the world and performed with many stalwarts, Sundaresan has the experience of 40 years in this field of performance and teaching of Mridangam. As a record breaking event in the year 2005 Sundaresan has played Mridangam and other percussions for 42 hours continuously also as a reason for the collective prayer for the Tsunami affected people for the appeal to the Mother Nature to remain calm and not to be aggressive.
