The Sydney Derby is an intra-city local derby in Australia's premier Association football competition, the A-League. It is contested between the two Sydney teams in the competition, Sydney FC and Western Sydney Wanderers FC. It is one of two intra-city derbies, the other being the Melbourne Derby in the A-League.


The Sydney Derby will begin in the eighth season of the A-League, the 2012–13 season, with the first meeting between the two clubs scheduled for Round 3 on the 20th October 2012 to be hosted by Western Sydney Wanderers FC in their inaugural season at Parramatta Stadium.[1]
