South Azerbaijan National Liberation Movement (SANLM) (Azerbaijani: Cənubi Azerbaycan Milli Azadlıq Herekatı, Persian: جنبش آزادیبخش ملی آذربایجان جنوبی) (CAMAH) is first political organization of South Azerbaijan, that advocates for the separation of Iranian Azerbaijan from Iran.[1] [2] [3] [4] [5]


Foundation and mission

SANLM was founded in 1991 by Piruz Dilenchi, and claims to represent the interests of Iran's Azerbaijani minority and in an organized manner since 1994. SANLM's charter and program were adopted at the second congress on the 16th of May 1994.[8] [9]

SANLM also recognized by International organizations and governments.[10] [11] [12] [13] [14]
