Sidra Iqbal is a celebrated Motivational Speaker and Youth Icon of Pakistan. She is accredited with many esteemed accolades in the fields of Youth-Activism, Socio-economic Outlook and Television Media.
Sidra was the Champion of English Speaking Union's International Public Speaking Championship in London, UK in 1999. Since then she represented the Pakistani youth at a number of international power packed forums and brilliantly transitioned to Youth Mentoring and Television Journalism.

Sidra Iqbal was born on February 27th in Karachi, Pakistan. She received her schooling from Beaconhouse School System, DHA Degree College and L'ecole for advanced studies. Her father, Mohammad Iqbal Lateef was a senior drama director and producer at Pakistan Television Corporation. Her mother, Nuzhat Iqbal is a home-maker.
English Speaking Union's International Public Speaking Championship 1999Edit
Sidra Iqbal is the first and the only Pakistani to win the prestigious English Speaking Union's International Public Speaking Championship in London, UK. She emerged a winner among 58 participants from 28 different countries, an accomplishment for which, she was feted at the Buckingham Palace and awarded the winner's certificate by HRH Prince Philip the Duke of Edinburgh.
This achievement propelled her personal and professional growth. What followed was a globe-trotting episode of eloquently representing the Pakistani youth at a number of highly esteemed and power packed conventions and forums. In July 2011, Sidra became the First Pakistani to be invited as a Judge to the same esteemed international pavilion, the English Speaking Union's International Public Speaking Championship 2011, with co-judges like Lucy Hockings (Presenter, BBC World).
Sidra Iqbal as a Change ActivistEdit
Sidra, during her student life, represented the Pakistani youth as an Youth Ambassador and a Change Activist at a variety of power-packed forums in Australia, Cyprus, Japan, Hong Kong, Turkey, Switzerland, UAE, UK and US.
Sidra was awarded a full scholarship by the ESU Commonwealth to a Summer International Relations Program at Oxford University, UK in 2006. In 2007, Sidra was part of the special international youth committee envisioned by Prime Minister Gordon Brown at UK and presented the 'Young People's Proposal for a Better World' at the World Economic Forum, Davos, Switzerland. Sidra was a part of Pakistan’s delegation to the esteemed marketing professionals forum: AdAsia 2011 in Delhi, India.She regularly speaks at youth conventions, colleges and universities across Pakistan
Sidra Iqbal as a Media BroadcasterEdit
Sidra is a prominent television broadcaster in Pakistan since 2006 and has a number of signature shows, productions and momentous coverages to her credit. Her shows have featured a number of VIP guests from Heads of States, Policy makers, corporate heads and celebrated popular icons. Sidra especially enjoys a country-wide strong youth fanbase, who keenly follow her comment and advise on youth issues and self empowerment.
In July 2012, Sidra became the first Pakistani anchorperson to host the official digital platforms of the International Indian Film Awards 2012 (IIFA), the mega Bollywood extravaganza of immense global popularity in Singapore, a project that expanded Sidra’s fans base across borders.

Sidra Iqbal as a PR Practitioner and EntrepreneurEdit
In Early 2007, Sidra started her career in the Public Relations Industry in as the Vice President, Oglivy & Mather, Pakistan. She played a key role in coordinating with Ogilvy PR, New York in 2007-2008 as it was appointed by the Government of Pakistan to manage Pakistan’s image in the international press. She also served her assignments at Singapore and Hong Kong offices of Ogilvy PR.
Today she is an entrepreneur and the founding Managing Director of Statuspro, one of Pakistan's foremost Integrated PR Communications firms. Statuspro's clients include: GlaxoSmithKline, Pfizer, British Council Pakistan, Gloria Jeans, Telenor Pakistan, United Energy Pakistan, Gul Ahmed Textiles and many others.
In April 2012, Statuspro was appointed as the official media and PR advisors for Lifestyle Pakistan , Pakistan’s largest fashion and lifestyle exhibition in Delhi, India. This was an initiative of the Trade Development Authority Pakistan (TDAP) and featured 100+ leading lifestyle brands from with Pakistan at the Indian Capital. The media strategy was a big success of the project as it achieved US $ 800,000 worth of PR media space.
BLINCK, Youth Training & Mentoring ConsultancyEdit
Her involvement with television media has further strengthened her illustrious public speaking background and her position as a youth activist. Currently she is also running an organisation named BLINCK which is a Youth Resource Group and it aims to initiate programs and activities of substance for youth training, development and mentoring. Public Speaking and Confidence Building Workshop by Sidra Iqbal was a resounding success, and now she intend to use that platform for similar endeavors in the future.
BLINCK positions itself as a keen advocate of youth-led and works to facilitate a variety of youth leadership and entrepreneurship initiatives nationwide. BLINCK has collaborated with partners on various pressing youth advocacy issues; International Youth Day Celebrations 2011 and Pluralism and Diversity Initiative in March 2012.

British Council Pakistan: Youth Training and MentoringEdit
During the same while Sidra made the rewarding transition to youth training. Her first training opportunity was at the British Council Pakistan in 2000. She designed and executed the summer public speaking workshops called Speech Craft. In 2003, the same concept evolved into the bigger and better TCS Hyde Park Juniors. The popular training program and championship series enrolled and trained over 200 young participants in the art of public speaking and personality grooming.
Women as Global Leaders (WAGL) by the Ministry of Education, UAE (2005 & 2006)Edit
In 2004, Iqbal's research paper and training proposal was selected out of 1500 submissions by the Ministry of Education, UAE. She was invited to lead a leadership training program for their global initiative Women as Global Leaders at the prestigious Zayed University Dubai. The following year, Sidra was chosen to be one of the 20 International Advisors to this annual program.
World Youth Congress Series: Hawaii (1999), Scotland (2005) and Turkey (2010)Edit
Sidra Iqbal was selected in the Pakistan delegation to the 1st World Youth Congress in collaboration with United Nations held in Hawaii, US in 1999.
Sidra was also selected and invited by the Scottish Executive to the 3rd World Youth Congress at the Stirling University UK. The Congress was the largest youth congregation of the year with over 1500 youth delegates and activists from around the globe. Here she was popularly voted as the Spokesperson for Asia for the 400 Asian delegates to the Congress. Sidra conducted several training workshops at this truly global forum and led the Asian delegation in the policy drafting proceedings. The policy paper drafted was later presented at the Scottish Parliament and the UN General Assembly .
In 2010, Sidra was the Pakistan mentor for the 5th World Youth Congress at Istanbul, Turkey in 2010. She mentored and facilitated the largest ever delegation of Pakistani Youth to the Congress with 45 Pakistani Youth Activists from all over the country. She also organized a formal farewell ceremony for the Pakistan delegation. Shah Mehmood Qureshi, the then Foreign Minister of Pakistan was the Chief Guest at this occasion.
