They bring a fusion of metal, pop, rock, and industrial as well as an outrageous stage performance made famous by KISS, Motley Crue, and W.A.S.P.. [1] The band has a strong following in the LA area, but that has recently spread with the conclusion of a four month tour across the US with Breathing Theory. [2] The band is also gaining attention through a national radio campaign as well being featured on Music Choice's Rock station with their hit single SKINMASK (Day After Day). The single was # 38 on Rock 108's Top 40 for the month of February 2012 [3] and shot up to # 24 on Rock 108's Top 40 for the month of March 2012 [4]. The band is known for their face paint worn on stage which is a cross between Japanese Anime and Zulu tribesmen. The band's greatest influences are Rammstein, Marilyn Manson, Velvet Revolver, Slayer, Avenged Sevenfold, In Flames, and Metallica. [5]

SKINMASK formed in 2009 as the brainchild of bassist Christophe Liglet drawing inspiration from Marvel Comics and cartoons. [6] Joining Christophe to form SKINMASK are Andre Lazaro, Fossface, Mike Trenholm, and Jimmy Wooten. The band recorded their first self-titled studio EP in 2011 which featured hit single SKINMASK (Day After Day). SKINMASK has consisted of the same 5 members since their formation in 2009. Andre Lazaro is the lead vocalist, Christophe Liglet is the bassist, Fossface is on guitar, Mike Trenholm is the lead guitarist, and Jimmy Wooten is the drummer. The band is the brainchild of bassist Christophe Liglet who utilized his prior experience with the bands Maya Hyena, Kreep, and Killing Grace to create his ideal band.

Andre Lazaro

Laz is an aggressive rock vocalist from Los Angeles whose style is hard to put your finger on. In a time where Modern Rock/Metal vocals are dominated by deep growls or monotone transgression, Laz excels at singing clearly with confidence and attitude much the same as some of his influences, including none other than Axl Rose. Mix that with the high level of energy he exerts on stage and you have a new breed of modern rock front man. Laz's drive comes from the motivation to produce a spectacle on stage as well as provide a symbol of creative freedom for all who see him perform.

Christophe Liglet

At the age of 8 Christophe discovered the band KISS which launched him into music. A self-taught bassist at age 10, Christophe began putting bands together as a teen, loving metal music and bands with outrageous stage images, like Motley Crue and Wasp. Christophe played with various bands throughout his career including Kreep and Killing Grace. Christophe decided to take control of his own destiny by putting together his own band as he wanted, embracing the musical potency and captivating imagery of artists such as Marilyn Manson & Rammstein. As a side project Christophe has filmed one episode for his web show Heavy Metal Nanny

Fossface makes up one half of the scorching guitar duo that brings the tribal beats and electronic madness of SKINMASK to climax. Originally from the East Bay Area of California, home of such influential metal bands as Metallica, Testament and MachineHead, Fossface brings a heavy chunk to each and every song as well as being a master at matching his six-stringed partner with duel leads that scream and mesh perfectly with the direction of each song.

Mike Trenholm

Mike, raised in Tulsa, Oklahoma, completes the duo of guitar players that create that signature SKINMASK sound. He started playing guitar at the age of 15, heavily influenced by bands like Pantera and Iron Maiden. In 1998, Mike set off to attend the world renowned Musician's Institute in Hollywood where he refined his style of playing and developed his skills to incorporate not only speed and note choice, but fluidity in his solos which have become Mike's trademark. With great respect for any band featuring outstanding guitar-work, Mike is sure to put his stamp on today's modern Rock and Metal scenes.

Jimmy Wooten

Jimmy is from the East Coast, raised in the music scenes of NYC and Philadelphia. Self-taught from the age of 8, his influences are John Bonham, Josh Freese and Morgan Rose. Jimmy's greatest asset is not necessarily his skill as a drummer, but his hard-hitting style and eye-catching performance. After playing in many bands over the years, SKINMASK is the perfect marriage of his ability to easily move from style to style while concentrating on keeping the audience moving to his machine-like poundings.
