Rebecca Correia (born April 8, 1981) is an American singer-songwriter.

Personal background

Rebecca Correia was born on April 8, 1981, in Rochester, Massachusetts.[citation needed] She attended the Hartt School of Music, graduating in 2003 with a degree in music education, with an emphasis in vocal performance.[1] As of 2012, she is based out of Nashville.

Professional background

Correia is a singer-songwriter. She plays guitar, piano, and mandolin, averaging a hundred shows a year. She has opened for Natasha Bedingfield, Shawn Colvin, Livingston Taylor, Beth Nielsen Chapman, Vance Gilbert, Melissa Ferrick, Cliff Eberhardt, Tracy Bonham, Jessie Colter, Freedy Johnston, Reel Big Fish, Raining Jane, Ryan Cabrera, Lucy Kaplansky, Matt Cusson, and Javier Colon.

Correia has been recording and performing for over 15 years. She has penned over 200 songs, writing her first song at age nine.[2]

She has released five indie CDs, including Miss You and Soul of Me.
