What is the QE Foundation?

The QE Foundation is a nonprofit education and research foundation based in Wilmington, Delaware. It was started almost 10 years ago by George Ricci who used to work for government services and private businesses involved in the health care industry. The QE foundation states its vision to promote more and better jobs, more and better quality services and more and better cost effective efficiency. The definitions of “Quality” and “Efficiency” were combined into the acronym QE whereby quality was simply defined as the degree of performance satisfaction (both objectively and subjectively) to services and products to meet the needs of consumers, and efficiency as the degree of delivering that satisfaction using the least amount of resources such as time, money and effort. Combining the definitions of quality and efficiency, QE is defined as the degree (or balance) or performance satisfaction using the least amount of resources. The QE Foundation has been involved in the reform of health care facilities since 2002, but the key working models and methodologies of the QE Concepts are also applicable to numerous other 7 day a week workplaces.

Education & Research

The QE Foundation offers seminar and workshop programs on the QE Staffing and Scheduling Methods © that focus on scheduling and pairing employees into job sharing team partnerships to create a team synergy that results in more quality and more efficiency. The QE Foundation also sponsors customized trial research projects in health care facilities to prove the efficacy of the Methods. Fellowship Grants The QE Foundation is offering Fellowship Grants to university graduate students who would like to participate in the research on the QE Concepts of Economics and Work Productivity, to create partnerships with organizations and corporations applying the QE Concepts in various kinds of workplaces.

Consultant Program

The QE Foundation also has a Consultants Network Program to review and analyze existing staffing practices and scheduling constraints and to provide individualized recommendations on how to optimize future staffing and scheduling methods.
