QReca! is a Greek startup company which created a professional networking ecosystem of communities of interest and practice that provides the necessary developing tools to visualise information and also build business relations.
The company was founded in 2012 by Kyriakos Athanasiou, Demetrios Gerogiannis and Thomas Gerogiannis in Ioannina, Greece. The concept of its name was derived by the initials of Quick Response and the word eureka! (intentionally misspelled eca) = QReca!.
On May 2012 the founders won the 2nd Prize Business Innovation Idea , from the contest "Innovation Odysseys 2012", which was held by the University of Ioannina and which led to the founding of the QReca! company.
QReca! Business Philosophy strongly supports the belief that its success is based upon the success of its QRecans (the members of the QReca! Platform). In order to achieve this success, all QRecans should operate in a win to win environment offered by the QReca Ecosystem. The core of QReca! Ecosystem is its platform.
The QReca! platform aims to bring together programmers and content creators (information holders). The goal of this collaboration is to utilize the skills of the first group to cover the needs of the second group concerning the information delivery within a win-to-win concept. The information access may be achieved via various channels, like a QR code, or the GPS signal. The innovative feature of the platform is the ability to associate the information with a unique id. Thus in case of information change, the delivery channel remains the same (e.g. the QR code needs not to be reprinted).
