Professor Dr Nasoha Saabin is a professional academician and qualified as an Optometrist with a Master degree in Optometry. He is also an author, lyrics writer, a preacher, holistic medical practitioner and a blogger.


Professor Dr Nasoha Saabin was born in Sungai Choh, Rawang, Selangor Darul Ehsan and of the Bengkulu Malay origin.


Studied in Australia and was the first Malay to become an Optometrist. H egraduated in Optometry from the Melbourne University Australia in 1978 and was the first Malay to be awarded a Master’s Degree in Optometry. He, together with few others established the first Optometry Department in Malaysia at the National University of Malaysia (UKM) where he was a lecturer. He then open a private Optometry practise at Medan MARA, Kuala Lumpur whereby he became the first Malay to open an Optometry practise.


In 1981, he was a lecturer at the Ophthalmology Department, UKM. Now he serves as Dean for the faculty of Optometry, Twintech International University College of Technology, Sri Damansara, Malaysia, the Chairman of Octagon Petroleum Technology Sdn Bhd, Director and Lead consultant at the Integrative Holistic Welness Centre Sdn Bhd. Since April 2011, he has been invited as a regular speaker by a Terengganu State body, Yayasan Pembangunan Keluarga Terengganu (YPKT) for their community program called Membina Keluarga Bahagia Melalui Terapi Minda. In the program, he teaches the participants how to develop their children to become competent and excellent using the Mind Therapy method. This method is also being used at the Kindergartens under YPKT.


Professor Dr Nasoha Saabin is very interested in the holistic approach to health. He has studied and conducted research in this field and finally established a clinic, Integrative Holistic Wellness Centre, IHWC to treat mental stress and various physical illnesses. He believes that the total well-being of a human can only be attained when the Body, Mind and soul are healthy. He believes that the state of health of a man is influenced by his life style which is influenced by what he thinks and believes and his thinking and belief is influenced by what he says. His research is this area has brought him to the discovery of the best therapy to change men’s behaviour and life style. He created mind therapy in audio format for various age groups – infants, toddlers, school aged, teenagers and adults.

His mind therapy to generate excellent children includes:

  • Taska Bestari
  • Sekolah Rendah Bestari
  • Sekolah Menengah Bestari

He also developed mind therapy called Pelajar Bestari, Ibu-Bapa Bestari, Pekerja Bestari and mind therapy to treat various stresses. These mind therapy eliminates mental stresses and changes men’s behaviour when taken as prescribed. When the mind therapy is taken with the prescribed medications that supply the body with the vital nutrients and minerals, a total wellbeing of men can be achieved.


Professor Dr Nasoha Saabin has written a book in English entitled I’m Healthy, I’m Wealthy still being published by PTS Publication Malaysia since 2008. He also wrote few other books related to Islam:

Professor Dr Nasoha is actively doing dakwah works in his locality, in other parts of Malaysia and also in neighbouring countries such as Indonesia with few others from his local mosque, Masjid Ar-Rahimah, Taman Greenwood, Gombak, Kuala Lumpur.
