NAJEEBA FAIZ (Born in 1988) is an Actress/ Anchor. After started war in Afghanistan they moved here as a refugee and settled down in Pakistan. She is best known for her roles in Rough Lewanae, Mai Toot Gai, Kaala Jadu, Angoori and Khuda k Liye.
Najeeba was born in Kunduz Afghanistan, start schooling and studied here at Peshawar Pakistan.
Career (In Pakistan)
Najeeba started her career as a child artist at age of seven in Kids program “Storee” in 1995 on PTV. In 2003 she appeared in her first Pashto drama serial in a lead role “Dil Ruba” on PTV written by Nur- ul-Basher Naveed, a big name of drama writer in Pakistan, directed by Masood Ahmad Shah. As a drama artist on PTV, she also started working as a Host/Anchor with first Pashto channel AVT Khyber in Pakistan and also start working from Lahore and Karachi media. In 2009 she became first Pashtoon woman program manager at AVT channel and also worked as creative manager at head Office and part of management. And she is the first Pashtoon girl who hosted “Morning Show” at AVT seven years regularly. She made her film debut with 2007, playing a pashtoon girl role in block buster movie “Khuda k Liye” by shoaib mansoor and she worked in commercial with “Nestle” in 2011 and 2012. Najeeba did TV dramas/ serials with Geo TV network, Hum TV, ARY Digital, Express entertainment And TVone as in lead role. She appears in dramas, long plays, TV shows, morning shows, musical shows, sitcoms and talk shows. She also worked with Radio Broadcast Pakistan more than a year in 15 dramas and hosted a show with 3 characters individually. And also hosted International Musical Concerts at Dubai, India, Malaysia & Europe.
Career (In Afghanistan)
In 2004 Najeeba did her first film in Afghanistan with Shaiq Network “Black Poison” and she became first female who hosted International game show HWTBM on Afghan media in 2013 with Arianna TV Afghanistan.
- She got first best performer award from PTV in 2005.
- Competition between 4 centers, She got 2 Best Actress Awards in 2008 & 2009.
- She produces a show on Afghanistan National Day and President Hamid Karzai invited Najeeba
with her whole team as State Guests and appreciated her work being an Afghan girl. She got title “Khybereena” (Daughter of Khyber) in 2011 and got 7 Star award as a ”First Woman Achiever Award” from AVT channel for 7 years of work.
