Mr. Robert Johnson is a poet, writer, producer, and visual artist. His solo music sound is that of a gypsy pop folk singer heavily influenced by American music of the 50’s and Euro gypsy music. MRJ started his musical career in 2005 with the release of his first project RATES, a cello guitar duo. Gaining noteriety in Central Florida with his endearing and catchy songs, he made his rounds on local radio, also playing local festivals such as: Earth Day, Vegfest and Corazon Art and Music. In 2008 he hosted and performed in a web show called 10 @ 10. Always looking to give back to his community, in 2006 he created and produced a few music fests in Orlando: most notably ella Music Fest, a celebration of Florida Female Artists now in it’s 6th year. After several years of travelling and playing solo nationally and internationally, Robert planted roots locally and expanded his sound by partnering with many talented local musicians. After several projects and a few productions, he and his bassist formed the rock band Everyday Ghosts. In quick fashion the band found a great following. In their first year they were voted “Top 3 Mainstream Rock Band” by the Orlando Weekly. While playing major venues: The Abbey, House Of Blues and and The Plaza Theater “Live” opening for national touring acts: Red Light Kings, and The Ryan Montbleau Band; the band had also performed at the Florida Film Festival, Central Florida Earth Day, and Jambando. The band will be releasing their first full length album in July 2012.
