Mike Bruno (born 26 May 1986) an American professional mixed martial arts (MMA) fighter, instructor, and speaker. Born in Brooklyn, New York. He currently fights as a featherweight and trains full-time at main American Top Team located in Coconut Creek, Florida. Bruno's older brother Steve, a UFC veteran, also won the Spirit M.C. middleweight championship in 2006 which took place in South Korea. Steve now serves as an consultant and part-time coach to Mike.[1]

Wresting Background

Mike attended Olympic Heights Community High School in Boca Raton, FL where he still holds one of the single-season records in Lions’ history with a 35-3 record at the 145-pound weight class. His wrestling background consists of a district, regional, and conference champion. -District Champion - 2004, Senior, 145 lbs -County Champion - 2004, Senior, 145 lbs -1st Place Regional Champion - 2004, Senior, 145 lbs [2] [3] [4] [5]

Amateur career

As an amateur Bruno won a unanimous decision over Calvin Martin at Battle of New Orleans 17: Young Guns on 12/11/2004. [6]
