May 2012 Homs clashes are clashes that happened between the Free Syrian Army and the Syrian Arab Army in the city of Homs. Opposition sources and the Free Syrian Army reported on May 29 2012 that the FSA regained control over Bab al-Sebaa neighborhood after clashes with the Syrian Army's soldiers overnight, and also that a full legion in Homs had defected to the Free Syrian Army. There were also reports of clashes in the Neighborhoods of Al-Zahara and Al-Nuszha. The Syrian Army responded with shelling Homs.
