Matthew Manners (born August 7, 1991) is a English mixed martial artist and kickboxer He has a Boxing Background Winning Many small championships. He moved over to mixed martial artist Where he fights with a Grapples style. He first competed in AMMA in 2008 turning pro in 2012.
Manners first started boxing at a young age but give it up to spend more time playing rugby. How ever after school Manners stopped playing Rugby to train as a chef. At this time he returned to boxing. Training inbetween working hours. After a SemiPro rules boxing bout Manners joined Ec1 Martial Arts training Boxing Kickboxing Judo And teakwondo. After a few months Manners moved to Kickboxing. And ended his Boxing career Amateur 74-0-2 Semi Pro 2-0
Manners had Draw in his first fight. Getting hit with leg kicks in all three rounds. He would come back strong winning his next eleven. At 11-0-1 Manners Would move his training to Archway martial arts and kickboxing.
Manners would turn to semi pro. Fighting shortly after changing camp. After one Semi Pro kickboxing bout Manners Wanted to give MMA ago. He felt his boxing and kickboxing Mixed with his Judo witch he had been doing on and off would be a good base. Manners would have three more kickboxing bout. Under Semi Pro rules. Trying to keep active as he prepared for a MMA career. Manners ended 4-0
Manners would enter several Wresting, Judo, Bjj, and NoGI tornaments. After doing well Manners felt it was the right time to give MMA a run
Manners would have his first Interclub bout in 2008 Manners would win Tko leg kicks. Manners would lose the second and third but submission both times. Manners would not fight again for 6 months Training for his next fight. Manners would return to win his next sixteen. His full amateur career was 17-2
Manners Turned pro early 2012. He was set to fight at Extreme Brawl March 3ed 2012 But the show was called off. He would then Début April 7th 2012 at UCMMA 27. Fighting Scott Saward. Manners would lose by TKO in round one. He would return to smaller shows. Fighting 2 fights in 2 weeks. Winning the 1st but submission and 2ed by KO. Winning A belt but not Happy with calling himself a champion. Manners has said he got a shot to easy and felt the champion was a joke to begin with. Manners would vacate the Big Brawl title just days after winning it.
Manners would compete in a K1 rules bout going the distance. Winning by points
