The Tek Robotic Mobilization Device is a 21st century upgrade for the traditional wheelchair. As a medical device, the Tek Robotic Mobilization Device is intended to provide patients suffering with an inability to walk with the capability to do so. The first Tek Robotic Mobilization Device is expected to be completed and shipped to consumers by the end of 2013. However, Matia Robotics has not yet been certified by various organizations in order to become the industry standard in wheelchair products. Presently, the product is reportedly being tested by the Technical Inspection Association in Germany.

The battery of the Tek Robotic Mobilization Device will require a 4.5 hour charge and will provide up to two days of battery life. Transportation of the Tek Robotic Mobilization Device provides its owners with hassle-free SUV storage.[1]
