Manic Digger is a free open source sandbox building game. It was originaly developed as third-party client for Minecraft Classic, but later that compatibility was removed. The game is still in development.

Game modes

Manic Digger has two game modes:

  • Fortress - You have to survive, you don't have infinite items, monsters[1] can attack you.
  • Creative - The same as Fortress, but you have infinite items.

Manic Digger is developed in C#. The last stable build was released in May 2011, but month, the nightly build is released. You can download the source from [1]. The game is developed in Visual C# 2008, but you can run it in 2010, too (there are some problems with compatibility).
