Mad About Design Ltd (MAD) is a London based Retail Consultancy Agency. From design to delivery, MAD can deliver a full range of retail display services.

MAD is a unique blend of people who draw stuff, people who make stuff and people who do stuff, to make people happy.


History

MAD was set up in January 2007. The original founders were Stuart Clarke; Fiona Cooke; Julia Henley; Bob Donarte. The company was set up on 13th January 2007, the first trading day being Monday 15th January. MAD started out trading in Queensway, London.

Donarte left the company two months after founding MAD. Henley also departed two years later in the August of 2009. Today MAD employs five additional people.

In March 2010 MAD moved to a new office in the West End of London, where it now resides.


Clients

MAD has a strong customer base. Clients have included Bobbi Brown; Danone; Dior; Diageo; Guerlain; Givenchy; P&G and Coty, to name a few.

MAD prides itself on its remarkable customer service and design talent.


Branding and Positioning

Mad About Design Ltd is a registered company. Its tagline is “Creativity requires a bit of MADness”. As part of the company branding Mad employees are referred to as The Mad People.

MAD produces high end design and maufacture for its Blue Chip clients, in the luxury sector, for a number of prestgious retail outlets.

As part of its company values MAD is committed to minimising the impact of its activities on the environment.


Corporate Sponsorship

MAD recently sponsored, and presented the Pure Beauty Award for Best New Design and Packaging 2012.

MAD are also proud co-sponsors of a music event, called Inspired by Music. The event, which is held by the Prince's Trust in conjunction with Cambridge Jones, showcases and mentors young music talent.


Causes

MAD annually fund a Cricket Sponsorship scheme, for a School in Sri Lanka. In addition the Mad People recently completeted a Fun Run, raising over £1,200 for Alzhiemers Society.


Awards

In 2008 MAD won the POPAI Silver Award for (merchandising) MAD’s submission was a Free Standing Display Unit (FSDU) which they had designed and produced for the Johnnie Walker Black F1 campaign.
