Lone Star Overnight is a regional parcel carrier that provides overnight and one to three day ground Parcel delivery to the states of Texas, Oklahoma,Louisiana,New Mexico and Arkansas[2][3] Lone Star Delivery operates on a point to point delivery system rather than the traditional hub and spoke system that national parcel carriers use[4]

History

Lone Star Overnight was founded in Texas on March 4, 1991[5]

Regional Transportation Alliances

In order for regional parcel carries to compete with UPS and USPS at the national level, Lone Star Overnight participates with other national carriers such as Ontrac in a strategic alliance where it allows Lone Star Overnight to deliver packages outside of its regional market without the additional overhead cost that is associated with National Parcel carriers.[6]
