Krystle D'Souza is an Indian television actress.[1] She portrayed the lead role of Jeevika Viren Singh Vadhera in the show Ek Hazaaron Mein Meri Behna Hai.[2] Later she played Sakshi, a caring wife and daughter-in-law in Ek Nayi Pehchaan.[3][4] Krystle participated in Dance Ki Takkar 2 in 2014 and appeared as a dayaan on Ghar Aii Hamari Pyaare Bahu. She played the lead roles as Raina in Zee TV show Brahmarakshas, Ankita in Life OK's Pyaar Aur Rang Sajnewali Hai & Belan Wali Bahu in Colors TV.

Personal Life

D'Souza was ranked No. 19 in the Top 50 Sexiest Asian Women List by Eastern Eye.[5] She considers herself deeply religious.[6] In April 2017, D'Souza launched her own app.[7]. It will feature pictures of Krystle where her fans can see and communicate with her.

Career

Start of her career & struggles (2007-10)

D'Souza started her acting career with the Balaji Telefilms show Kahe Naa Kahe in 2007 in which she played the role of Kinjal.[8] She appeared in another Balaji show Kya Dill Mein Hai (2007) and played Tamanna - the sister to the male lead. In 2008, D'Souza appeared in two shows on Star Plus; Kasturi as Navneet and Kis Desh Mein Hai Meraa Dil in which she played Veera. She left the show in 2009.[9]

In 2010, D'Souza appeared in Sony TV's Baat Hamari Pakki Hai which stars Ankita Sharma and Barun Sobti. She played the role of Shravan's girlfriend Tara. She also had a cameo appearance in Sony TV's Aahat and played Yamini in that same year.

Breakthrough & Success (2011-present)

In 2011, she bagged the popular show Ek Hazaaron Mein Meri Behna Hai as the main lead, Jeevika Viren Vadhera opposite Karan Tacker; a mature caring sister and wife which she bagged many awards for along with popularity. The show went off air on 13 September 2013. Later in October 2013, Krystle was seen in Star Plus popular show Sapnon Hai Pyaar Ki Kahaani as Naina.[10][11] She also was playing an important part in Lakshmi which starred Sanaya Irani & Karan Dahiya. She entered the show in October 2013.

In December 2013, she was roped in for Sony TV's Ekk Nayi Pehchaan playing the main lead role as Sakshi opposite Karan Sharma. The show was went off air in September 2014.[12] In 2014, she participated in the dance reality show Dance Ki Takkar (season 2) and survived for 6 weeks.[13][14] In 2015, D'Souza entered the popluar show Sapnon Hai Pyaar Ki Kahaani...Ek Baar Phir as Neha Thakur replacing Sanaya Irani. Later in December 2015, Krystle entered Ghar Aii Hamari Pyaare Bahu as Priyanka.[15][16]

In 2016, she returned to television playing the main lead in Karan Chaggar's Pyaar Aur Rang Sajnewali Hai which aired on Life OK and played the lead role as Ankita.[17] She later was seen in Ekta Kapoor's Brahmarakshas which aired on Zee TV.[18][19] She was seen opposite Aham Sharma. The show went off air in February 2017. Since January 2018, Krystle has been playing the role of Roopa in Colors TV's Belan Wali Bahu.[20]

Other appearances

D'Souza appeared as a guest on Colors TV's Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa as a guest contestant in the special 'teen ka tadka' week along with Karan Tacker who was a contestant in August 2014.[21] She made an guest appearance in Colors TV's Bigg Boss 9 to support Varun Kumar.[22] In September 2015, she made a guest appearance in Zee TV's Sarojini - Ek Nayi Pehal along with Karan Tacker.[23] She agian made an guest appearance in Ekta Kapoor's Kya Mohabbat Phir Se with Karan in April 2016.[24] In 2016, she made another appearance in Zee TV's Kumkum Bhagya & Mohe Rang De...Har Ek Pyaar Mein.[25]

Theatre work & event appearances

She was attending college and participated in theatre performances and therefore, this led to her getting cast as the lead role.[43] In February 2017, she appeared in Lakme Fashion Week.[44]

She also appeared in Colors TV's Mirchi Top 20 opposite Karan Tacker in 2015, 2016 & 2017.

EscapeX launch app

In April 2017, Krystle had launched her own app where she collaborated with with New York based tech firm EscapeX in Mumbai. Inside the app, her fans and followers can interact with her and can meet and greet her. She said, “It’s a really nice feeling to have your own app. Going digital is so much fun and it’s a trending phenomena in India. Through this app, I will be sharing my latest pictures, videos and my personal and professional daily updates and will also do live chat with my fan once in a while”. She then added, “This app will have my exclusive content which my followers will not be able to get on any other social media platform. I am also going to have meet and greet session with my followers through various contest through this app”.[45]
