The Klauzál tér was the largest square in the former Jewish quarter in Budapest, in the seventh district.
The first name of this square was Stephans Platz. After 1874 will be István tér. Since 1907 the square was named by Gábor, KLAUZÁL.
In this square opened a theater in the year of 1872. In the year of 1874 this theater destroyed because of a conflagration.
In the year of 1897 opened a shopping hall (market) in the place of former theater. This was the third shopping hall in Budapest.
