Khalid Mustafa is a well known Urdu language Poet/Prose Writer. His original name is Khalid Mehmood however his pen name is Khalid Mustafa. He has born on 21 May 1966 at village Hattar, Tehsil Fateh Jang, District Attock (Punjab) Pakistan. He got his early education from government high school Hattar. He did Metric in 1981 from government high school Fateh Jang. In his school he participated in declamation competitions. He did FA in 1983 and BA in 1986 from government collage Asgher Mall road Rawalpindi. In his collage life he started participating in literary functions. He represented his collage in literary programs of Radio Pakistan Rawalpindi. In October 1988 Khalid got commissioned in Pakistan Army and posted at Lahore. He was promoted on the rank of Captain and married in January 1992.He was sent to Somalia in April 1993 as part of UN peace keeping force and returned in March 1994.Khalid got promoted as Major in October 1999 and promoted on the rank of Lieutenant Colonel in August 2007.His first poetry book "Khawab Lehlahanay Lagay” was published in May 2004 however he started writing poetry in his collage life. He has written number of literary articles and columns in leading newspapers.
