Kate Noakes is a Welsh Poet and short fiction writer. She has degrees in Geography, and English Literature from the University of Reading and a MPhil in Creative Writing from the University of Glamorgan. She has taught creative writing for Oxford Univerity. 1

She has published two books of poetry Ocean to Interior (Mighty Erudite Press, 2007) and The Wall Menders (Two Rivers Press, 2009)[1] and has two forthcoming Cape Town (Eyewear Publishing, 2012) and I-spy and Shanty (Mulfran Press, 2013).

She is an elected member of the Welsh Academi[2] In 2009 she won the Owen Barfield Poetry Prize.[3]
