DZRU-FM, known as Joey @ Rhythms 92.3 was a station broadcasting the smooth jazz format. Like its predecessor, MRS 92.3, the smooth jazz format will be used to other NBC FM stations, who use other female names for their branding.

History

In 1998, NBC was acquired by MediaQuest Holdings, Inc., a broadcasting company owned by PLDT's Beneficial Trust Fund. With new ownership, the smooth jazz format will be used to other NBC FM stations, who use other female names for their branding. In 2005, the nname was shortened to 923 Joey. In January 2007, DZRU received new management, led by radio executives Raymund Miranda and Al Torres, along with sales executive Amy Victa. After nine years broadcasting as Joey, DZRU was relaunched on April 8, 2007, returning the DWFM callsign and dropping the smooth jazz format. DZRU is now known as 92.3 News FM. Its format was picked up by Radio High 105.9.
