Jane Lee is an Asian American actress and former beauty queen. She has served as a TV host and appeared in films, theatre productions, commercials, and music videos in Southern California (USA) and throughout Korea.

Early life

Lee was born in the United States. Lee placed first in acting for Southern California’s Korea Talent Search and earned the Korean Times Title in the 1998 Miss Korea California Pageant.[1] Fluent in English, Lee also is versed in conversational Korean.

After earning a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Communications with a major in TV/Film Production from California State University, Fullerton (CSUF), Lee furthered her studies at several acting schools including Aaron Speiser Studio, Margie Haber Studio, and East West Players.


Central to Lee’s career has been serving as a professional TV show host on several stations and an actress in a variety of films. Film roles have ranged from portraying a blind young lady who gets possessed after having her eyesight restored, the best friend to a dying woman, a comedic private investigator, a passive Japanese girl, and a Valley girl only interested in her looks.


Lee's film credits[2] include playing lead in Quadro Pink (aka The Spy who boned Us)[3] and Destiny by the American Film Institute (2002).

Supporting roles include playing a female deputy in 1st Testament[4] by Phaedra Cinema (2001) and a frantic young girl in Awaken the Dead[5] by Silver Storm Productions.

In addition to lead and supporting actress roles on and off screen, Lee was a featured extra in Justin Lin's film, Fast and the Furious (2006).

She also had lead roles in films produced at UCLA, USC, and Chapman University, where she played a street girl in Paper Sons.[6]


Lee was recruited from the United States to serve as TV Host for several shows on Arirang TV – an English broadcasting station based in Korea that delivers programs worldwide. She hosted Passport to Korea and the video music show Pops in Seoul. Other assignments included Travel TV Host for Peninsula Passport and the lead in Info Stop. In addition, she hosted Egg WestCoast on AZN TV, viewed by 100 million households in the U.S.[1] The TV magazine show explored the Korean American experience on the West Coast and was co-produced by Hahn Cho (Jim) and Gary Choi (James) of Los Angeles based Choice Entertainment, Inc. The actress has also appeared in a variety of commercials.


Upon relocating to Korea for several years to host TV shows, Lee also researched, wrote, and hosted the weekly cultural and entertainment segment on EBS (Educational Broadcasting System) radio station 104.5 FM.

Music video

Lee's on screen persona was tapped by the top R&B artist in Korea, Jo Han Kim, to play the lead female actress for a music video that was directed by Marc Kim (aka: Kim Hyeon- Seong).

Personal life

Lee has studied and practiced yoga since 1998 and now professionally teaches privately and at several yoga studios.[1] Specialties include Vinyasa yoga, pre and post natal yoga, Christian yoga, and other styles.

Community work

As a member of the Korea Media Rating Board, Lee helped rate, as well decide, on which international music would be played in the country. Committed to helping others through prayer, Lee completed mission work in China in 2010 and volunteers locally for her church. Living near the southern California coast, Lee is an avid conservationist, and has volunteered to help clean Orange County beaches.
