The Shadow was a limited edition 6-string solid-bodied electric guitar created by Jackson Guitars in 1992 as part of their Jackson Custom Shop series of custom instruments.

The Shadow has a double-cutaway body shape similar to that of other famous Jackson guitars, most notably the Dinky, with a less extreme headstock design similar to many late Ibanez models. The body is made of high-quality alder wood with a rosewood fretboard.

The shadow's name comes from its all-black color, not only the body, but all black hardware as well. The Shadow's neck was available in two options: standard Jackson "Sharktooth" inlays or the more popular "Tree of Life" inlay.

The Shadow has a H-S-H (Humbucker-Single Coil-Humbucker) configuration consisting of a matched bridge and neck pair of high output black chrome humbuckers and a rail-style "mini-humbucker" in the middle. These are controlled by a standard 5-way pickup selector switch, two tone knobs, and a master volume knob.

The Shadow was discontinued after a very short production run due to lack of commercial success. The Shadow originally retailed for $599.
