Hanan Alattar is an American operatic soprano[1] and actress who has made appearances at the Los Angeles Opera, Berlin Staatsoper, New York City Opera, Lincoln Center New York as well collaborating with fellow conductors, Placido Domingo, James Conlon and Miguel Harth-Bedoya.[2]

Biography

Early life

Alattar was born in Houston, Texas to parents of Palestinian and Iraqi origin.[2]

Career

In 2009 she had her UK debut as Musetta in Jonathan Miller's production of La bohème at the English National Opera.[2]

She played the lead role, Leila, in George Bizet's early opera The Pearl Fishers, in an updated production directed by British film-maker Penny Woolcock.[2]
