Free Government Information (FGI) is an organization of government information librarians. It was founded by Jim A. Jacobs, James R. Jacobs, Shinjoung Yeo, Daniel Cornwall, and James Staub. FGI is primarily dedicated to preserving free access to government information by working with libraries, government agencies, non-profit organizations, and journalists.
