Jillian Meagher was an Irish journalist living in Brunswick, Victoria, Australia whose disappearance on 21 September, 2012 made international headlines. Adrian Ernest Bayley was later charged with her abduction, rape and murder.[1][2]

On 21 September 2012, Jill Meagher was out drinking with co-workers from ABC Radio at Bar Etiquette in Brunswick. Jill left at around 1:30 am on 22 September and began the short walk back to the apartment she shared with her husband Tom.[3] At around 1:43 am, CCTV footage from the Duchess Boutique bridal shop on Sydney Road showed Jill speaking to a man in a blue hoodie who had been walking outside the store only four minutes earlier.[4] This was last time the 29 year old was captured on camera. Jill's brother, Michael McKeon began getting concerned when she didn't answer her phone.
