Cybelar is a Brazilian retail company focused on selling electronics and furniture, was founded in 1952 in Tietê a city located within São Paulo state, currently has 159 stores located in the Brazilian states of São Paulo and Minas Gerais. The company is the tenth largest Brazilian electronic retailer by revenue.
The company was founded in 1952 as Marcenaría Sant'ana by Ângelo Pasquotto died in 2002, changed its name in 1974 to Cybelar and is currently owned and management by his son Ubirajara José Pasquotto.
In November 2012 the company bought 65 stores in the states of São Paulo and Minas Gerais from its competitor Lojas Colombo for about $64 million. The major Cybelar's competitors are Viavarejo's subsidiary Casas Bahia, Magazine Luíza, Máquina de Vendas, Lojas Marabraz, Lojas CEM among others.
