Chukka Sattaiah

Dr. Chowdarapally Chukka sattaiah is a famous eminent oggu katha(a folk art in Andhra pradesh, india) artist. He is famous for Beerappa oggu katha, yellamma oggu katha, mallanna, maandhata oggukatha. While he is singing oggu katha on the stage the people will pay total attention to him only. He is started oggu katha in his young age(19years only). He born in Manikyapuram village, Lingala Ghana puram Mandal, Warangal District. Sayamma his mother, Agaiah his father name. Chowdarapally Bikshapati is his one and only brother. He grown up in village atmoshpere by doing agriculture works. He learnt oggu art by self preparation and self practice.

He got Sangeet Natak Academy award from the President of India Mr. Abdul Kalam. And He was facilitated by the president of India Mr. Pranab Mukharji on 28 Dec 2012 in 3rd World Telugu Conference. He facilitated by Nandamuri Taraka Ramarao, Indira Gandhi, Rajiv Gandhi for his excellent performance in oggukatha.

He had given 1000 plus performances on behalf of government to provoke the public about social awareness. He brought social awareness into the rural people with oggu katha.
