Services include Emergency and Trauma Services, 6-bed Intensive Care Unit, Birth Center (Labor & Delivery, Mother/Baby units), Medical/Surgical unit, Surgical Services (Day Surgery, Operating Room & Recovery Room), Radiology (Full Service), Respiratory Therapy, Sleep Lab, Infusion Therapy, Physical Therapy, Labratory Services and Ambulane Services (Life Run Ambulance). It is part of the Intermountain Healthcare system.
Originally named Cassia Memorial Hospital, the facility in Burley, Idaho was constructed and owned by Cassia County.
1960 The hospital opened under a management contract with the Latter-day Saints Hospitals of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
1975 Hospital joins the Intermountain Healthcare System. When the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints decided to give its hospitals to the communities they served, Cassia Memorial was one of the original 15 hospitals transferred to Intermountain Healthcare. Intermountain operated the hospital under a lease and management agreement with the county.
1975-1979 Intermountain expands hospital. Cassia Memorial Hospital is an example of the efforts Intermountain made to reinvest its operating margin in the community. The hospital was remodeled and expanded from 1975 to 1979.
1982 Intermountain remodels and expands the hospital.
1985 Intermountain further remodels hospital.
1988 Intermountain further remodels hospital.
1995 In June, community leaders joined Intermountain representatives in opening Cassia Regional Medical Center to replace Cassia Memorial Hospital. The hospital was built at Intermountain's expense without taxpayer dollars.
