In prokaryotes, the Betaclamp is a two part protein construct that, when assembled, encircles the Dna double strand. This results in the Sliding Clamp action that attaches Itself to Bio-Processes of all descriptions.

This is a Manual Re-Direct to Dna Clamp. The Original Betaclamp Article is at User/Betaclamp/sandbox.

In Dna Clamp we also find that the Eukaryotic Dna clamp is a trimer and is called - Proliferating Cell Nuclear Antigen - or PCNA.
