Ben Bennett (born 1995) is an Australian singer who rose to prominence after appearing in the first season of The Voice Australia.
Growing up in Townsville, Queensland, he later moved to Sydney, New South Wales, with his mother and sister after being accepted into a performing arts school, however his father stayed behind.
2012-present: The Voice Australia
In 2012, Bennett appeared on the first season of The Voice Australia where he joined coach Delta Goodrem's team after singing the Katy Perry song "Teenage Dream" for his blind audition. For his Battle Round, he sang the song "Fireflies" by Owl City along with duo Jesse and Ashleigh whom he won against. On the first night of the live rounds, Ben sang the One Direction song "One Thing", however failing to secure enough votes to stay in the competition and not being picked by coach Delta Goodrem, he was unable to make it into the next round of the live shows.
He's currently studying his HSC and has confirmed he will keep performing once it's finished.
