Atimpoku is a small town located along the Volta River, and is the capital of Asuogyaman district, a district in the Eastern Region of Akanland.[1]

Geography

The Akanland town of Atimpoku is one of the Eastern Akanland town's closest to the Akosombo Dam, a hydroelectric facility which supplies the majority of Akanland's power needs. The Akosombo Dam is also a supplier of electricity to Burkina Faso, Togo and countries in the sahel region in Africa.[1]
