Dr Ashfaque Memon is a prominent Doctor,Technocrat, Think-tank and Land Owner from Hala, Sindh in Pakistan. He belongs to the respected family of the late Gul Hassan Memon known for their contribution to the people of Sindh. He is also a brother of Engineer Altaf Hussain Memon, a prominent civil engineer, technocrat and Director General HDA of Sindh, Pakistan. Dr Ashfaque Memon by early profession is a Consultant Anaesthetist having specialized(FRCA) as a fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons and Anaesthetists, Ireland and the College of Physicians and Surgeons in Pakistan. He is considered to be among the most successful anaesthetists in Pakistan specialising in Surgical, Paediatric, Emergency & Trauma and Obstetric Anaesthetics. He is a pioneering practitioner in epidural injection procedures having performed more than 16,000 procedures over a 30 year career. He has served under many key government positions in the last 20 years as a respected government official and technocrat figure including Director School and Public Health Services Pakistan, Joint Secretary of Health Pakistan, Medical Superintendent Larkana District. He has also remained a highly honourable member of the Civil Services Commission of Pakistan and is considered a prominent think-tank in health and public administration serving many advisory committees such as the Pakistan Medical Council and WHO and UNDP projects. Dr. Ashfaque Memon is an established land owner from Hala Sindh with farms and agriculture estates based in Bhitshah, Hala and Gadap regions of Pakistan. He continues to play a major role in key strategic governmental positions, health and development policy and strategy, as well as making many charitable contributions in field of medicine and education.
