Archana Vijaya (born 17 November 1982) is a model, video jockey and television presenter. She started off as a model and then was a video jockey with Channel V in India and is now a television presenter.
Archana Vijaya studied at Loreto House, a school in Kolkata, India. She went to college at Bhawanipore Education Society. Then she completed her graduation at University of Calcutta alumni. She later moved to Mumbai to further pursue her modelling career, where she currently resides.
Vijaya's career started in 2004 when she won Channel V's Get Gorgeous in 2004 and became a VJ on the channel, hosting season two of Get Gorgeous in 2005. While with Channel V, Vijaya hosted travel shows like Freedom Express 1 and 2, in which she interacted with people from various strata of the society. Later, Neo Sports hired her to host the show Tour Diary, which featured Vijaya traveling with the Indian Cricket Team and the visiting team to India at their playing destinations. She also worked as a NIFT model.
Vijaya ha entered the modeling world by walking the ramp for designer Suneet Varma at the Milan Fashion Week. Since then she has simultaneously modeled in Fashion with all the leading designers - Tarun Tahiliani, Rohit Bal, Narendra Kumar, Sabyasachi, Manish Malhotra and many more. As a model, her advertising campaigns include Parker Pen 2012, Cuticura and Toyota Corolla, Frooti, L'Oréal, Samsung Mobile, Nike.
In 2005, she was dubbed the "Year's most beautiful face" by Times of India.
Vijaya anchored the DLF IPL-V show, Extraa Innings - T20 on Sony Max Television. Vijaya also hosted the wrap around show Extra Cover - Tour Dairy on Neo Sports, a travel show where she was traveling with the Indian Cricket Team and the visiting team to their various playing destinations, taking the audiences through my own journey as a cricket fan! In 2010, she was approached to get back to Get Gorgeous 6 as Mentor and she accepted the proposal.
