Alicia Wood (born 1984) is a journalist with The Daily Telegraph, a newspaper in Sydney, Australia. Wood is the daughter of an Australian-born father and a Chilean-born mother, and is bilingual. She studied at the University of Technology, Sydney, completing a Master of Arts (International Studies).[1] Her Masters thesis was on the comparative semiotics of beer labels in Chile and Australia. She is a follower of the "Lowes School" of cultural studies associated with the Australian intellectual Imre Salusinszky. However, Wood is perhaps best known as a semi-permanent fixture in the non-members' bar at the Parliament of NSW.
