Al Yasmina School is a private, British curriculum school in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.[1] Al-Yasmina educates students in grades 1-12, in through primary and secondary schools.[2]


The school was established by ALDAR Academies. It was opened in September 2008.[2] Year 13 will be added in September 2012.


Al Yasmina operates with separate primary and secondary schools. Pupils move to the secondary school for Year 7. The current Head of School and Head of Secondary is Darren Gale and the current Head of Primary is Sharon Tait. There are also headteachers for each of the year groups.

The children are allocated to 'houses' which are: Endeavor (Green), Voyager (Red), Challenger (Yellow) and Discovery (Blue). These houses apply to both the secondary and primary school. Two house captains are chosen from Year 6 for head of the primary houses and two are chosen from the secondary school to be the captains of the secondary houses. Al Yasmina offers house competitions to earn 'house points', that can also be earned in class.


Al Yasmina follows the British curriculum. The school offers provides GCSEs, A-Levels and O-Levels. English and Mathematics are compulsory subjects throughout the school.


The school won 'Best School' in the 2012 Ahlan! 'Best in Abu Dhabi' awards.[3]
