Abdul Karim Parekh (1928 – 11 September 2007) was an Indian Muslim scholar and translator of the Qur'an into Urdu.

Biography

Born in village of Kanseoni in Akola district, Maharashtra where his father, a memon, had migrated from Gujarat, most likely from Kathiawar. Self-taught, Parekh was proficient in Quranic Arabic, Urdu, Hindi, Gujarati, English and Sanskrit.[1]

He died in Nagpur on September 11, 2007 at the age of 85 after a brief illness.[2]
