Aaron James & The Cultivators is an alt-country band located in Calgary, Alberta. The band first began to take form in the late 2000s in Austin, Texas, where frontman Aaron James Sorensen lived from 2008-2012. The passionate culture of the Texan music scene served to inspire Sorensen, and today the Albertan native seeks to create and play music which strongly reflects the stories and pride of his own heritage.

"Alberta two-stepping, diesel-drinking, cow-milking, pie-eating, trigger-pulling, rock-throwing, girl-kissing music" [1] inspired by the honky-tonk and "red dirt" country sounds of Austin, Texas.

Cranberry Wind (2007)

Released under Sorensen's music moniker, Aaron James, Cranberry Wind is a CD of original Americana/roots songs.
