Aaron David Schimmer is a Canadian scientist and hemotalogist who is known for his research on drug repurposing for treating cancer. He received his MD and PhD from the University of Toronto under Dr. Mark Minden. He did his postdoctoral training in apoptosis at the Sanford Burnham Research Institute in La Jolla, California. He is currently working as a staff physician/scientist Princess Margaret Hospital and is an associate professor at the University of Toronto.
