The Alliance of Civil Society Organizations of Tigray (ACSOT) was established in 2007, in the region of Tigray which is located North East of Ethiopia. ACSOT has a total member of 36 federally registered members, a number that has decreased from over 70 members after the governments 2009 Charities and Societies proclamation.
ACSOT envisions strongly bonded vibrant CSOs’ networks, effecting good governance, democratization, and improved livelihood, green and friendly environment throughout the world.
ACSOT Works with International Partner charities TROCAIRE/CAFOD/SCIAF (since its establishment to present), European Commission (Civil Society Fund), National charities (CCRDA), International organization (UNAIDS) Regional CSOs (REST)and Government organization (Tigray HAPCO).
Further, ACSOT wants to expand its working relation with other Regional and National charities and societies like NECSO-Oromia, Resource Centre - SNNPR, APDF - Afar, BGDAN - Benishangul–Gumuz and other networks, charities, and societies too.
