A-Squad is an alternative hip-hop and pop music group, from Hartford, CT. The group is comprised of four male artists by the names of M-Dot, Noxx, Coop and Juice. A-Squad’s style of music is characterized by their melodic hooks, alternative beats and concepts. With this style of music, A-Squad has been able to think outside of the normal framework of what hip hop is usually considered. A-Squad uses their musical talents as a form of self-expression and motivation. Their love for music, hard work and drive for success have allowed them to showcase their talents at such events as The New York Music Festival where they went on to win Best Team Award.

A-Squad also had the opportunity to perform for Hot 93.7 program director DJ Buck's New England Showcase Tour. Other highlight performances were Howard University's Homecoming Concert, where they opened for such acts such as Trina, Wale, Slick Rick, Dougie Fresh, Travis Porter and Rick Ross. These accomplishments have earned A-Squad respect with local artists, non-local artists, musicians, as well as industry greats such as producer Allstar (SWV, Joe, 50 Cent) and veteran artist and executive June Archer (Room Service) who has worked with numerous platinum selling artists. A-Squad’s sole purpose in maintaining this group is to have longevity, musical appreciation by supporters, great popular success, and to continue to push the boundaries of music in the hip-hop world.

A-Squad is set to release their sophomore album call “Society Life” summer 2012 and releasing a promo album called “The Prequel” May 2012. Both will have songs that were featured on the Source mixtape called “The DocuTape” as well as their single “Red Cups and Champagne”. A-Squad's M-Dot is also working closely with June Archer and the Eleven28 Entertainment production team. Joining forces with Eleven28 Entertainment, this spring M-Dot steps in front of the camera for the new music producer reality show “The DocuTape” on Fuse TV. The show goes into the day-to-day struggle of producers that are trying to get the next hit record while others are just trying to be heard. Expect summer and fall of 2012 to be an outbreak year for A-Squad as they are independently strategizing on releasing their talents to the world.
