The 2013–14 National Basketball League will be the thirty-sixth season of competition since its establishment in 1979. It is expected there will be between 9 or 10 teams in the season, with the Brisbane Bullets being potentially re-established[1] and the potential reintroduction of the Gold Coast Blaze.

Television rights will stay with Network Ten in Australia as the fourth season in a five season deal and Sky Sport in New Zealand as the second season in the three-year deal.[2]
