The 2007 World Tour is the twenty-third major tour by British metal band Black Sabbath, then called Heaven and Hell.

Background

After the end of the 2005 Tour, Ozzy Osbourne left the band again, to pursue his continued solo career, and under a chance meeting vocalist Ronnie James Dio rejoined the band in March 2006, and the band started working on a new album for the first time since 1995, but sessions were halted after only three songs (Later released on the Dio Years compilation). And then, in October 2006, drummer Bill Ward left the band, due to musical differences, giving way for the return of Vinny Appice, which effectively reunited the Mob Rules-era lineup. The band changed their name to "Heaven And Hell" around this time, for unknown reasons. As well, keyboardist Adam Wakeman left the band in January 2007, replaced by Scott Warren.

The tour would be a very extensive one, lasting nearly 100 gigs and 8 months. It started with two US legs, one in March, and one in April-May supported by Megadeth and Machine Head. Afterwards, 1 month in Europe from June-July 2007 would be followed by a brief Australian jaunt in August, supported by Down. Afterwards, they went back to America for one month, from September-October 2007, supported by Queensryche and Alice Cooper, followed by a brief trip to Japan, supported by Trivium, with one gig in Singapore, and the tour closed with a few weeks in the UK in November 2007, supported by Lamb Of God and Iced Earth.

The show in New York (March 30, 2007) was recorded and filmed, released as Live At The Radio City Music Hall.
