107.5 Switch Radio broadcast from Castle Vale, Birmingham to a population over 100,000 in the north east of the city. The station found on 107.5, promotes local event or causes and artists as well as informing listeners on the news and latest chart music.[1]


In 1995 residents from the Castle Vale estate formed the a new local station under the name Vale FM. The purpose of the station was to inform and entertain the local community, combining music with news, sport, local events and services. In April 2010, the station underwent a rebrand and began broadcasting as Switch Radio, but still retains its core purposes.


The station plays a wide range of music from across the previous five decades to current chart topping tracks with hits from the best artists around the world. The station broadcast a range of specialist programmes in rock, dance, soul, RnB and hip hop.[2]
