The Credit Research Foundation (CRF) is a non-profit organization based in Westminster, MD. The role of CRF is to act as a source for research and education developed for credit and financial executives representing manufacturers, wholesalers, financial institutions, and service organizations. CRF was chartered in 1948 and currently has over 600 contributing member companies whose support of the Foundation allows it to fulfill its mission as a clearinghouse of information relative to effective business practices, methods and technologies lending to productivity and efficiency in managing a business receivable portfolio.

Information is disseminated to credit and financial executives via a free access website (, a variety of publications, online educational programs and forums conducted at various locations throughout the country several times a year.

The Foundation is open to all individuals and businesses that have a vested interest in the credit, A/R (accounts receivable) and customer financial relationships.
